What to Remember – What to Forget

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our
transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:11-12

Dear Friends,
Are there mistakes you made in your past that seem to pop into your thoughts at the most inconvenient time? We can forget just how far God’s forgiveness extends. One of the keys to finding joy is to stop remembering what God has forgotten.

As far as the east is
This short poem helps me remember to forget.
My rule for life – I’ve only one – I’ll never say, “I should have done.”
The things I’ve done, both right and wrong, are in the past where they belong.
Each day I pray that through God’s grace I’ll show the world a kinder face.
A softer voice, a loving touch: my gifts to God who gave so much.
He gave his son to take my place — My sins forgive, my shame erase.
As far as East is from the West, to hide my worst, he gave his best.
My rule for life – I’ve only one – I’ll never say, “I should have done.
The things I’ve done, both right and wrong; are in the past where they belong.

Want more joy in your life? Remember how far God’s forgiveness extends.

Verse for the Week
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18

Blessings,
