Walk a Path of Peace

The worship song “Let There Be Peace on Earth” reminds us that we can choose to walk a path of peace. Our quest is to find a feeling of personal peace with God and then share this peace with the world around us.
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be

With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow

To take each moment
And live each moment
With peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.

Walking a path of peace begins with trusting the Prince of Peace. You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
As a peacemaker, you are a member of the family. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”Matthew 5:9

As a member of the family of God, you have access to a peace that surpasses anything the world has to offer. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
As a peacemaker, you can bless rather than curse.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6”24-26

As a peacemaker, you will be rewarded.
And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:18 (NLT)

As we go through this tumultuous time, this is our prayer for you:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peaceas you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
