Resolutions 2018

Dear Friends,

Resolutions 1018
How did you do with the resolutions you made last year? Do you even remember what they were? I think I wrote mine down somewhere, but truth be told, I not only can’t remember what I resolved — I can’t remember where I put my list.

A recent survey revealed that “become a better person” has replaced “lose weight” as the #1 resolution cited by those surveyed. If “become a better person” is one of your goals, the following tips may be helpful.

1. Seek More
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 (NIV)

2. Praise More
Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
Psalm 103:1-2 (NLT)

3. Trust More
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)

4. Study More
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 2 Timothy 3:16 (NASB)

5. Pray More
Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19 (NLT)

6. Relax More
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

7. Forgive More
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 (NASB)

8. Love More
[Love] does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV)

9. Serve Christ More
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 (NIV)

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)

10. Anticipate More
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)

But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13(NIV)

only one life will soon be past

Blessings,
